Product Description
LOCTITE SI 5900 is a one-component black oxime RTV silicone gasketing compound for stamped sheet-metal covers, including timing covers and oil sumps. The thixotropic paste has a typical specific gravity of 1.3 to 1.37 at 25 deg C. It records at least 100 seconds of blow-out resistance on a 4 mm flange with a 1.5 mm gap at 0.014 MPa and at most 0.2 mm flow after 2 minutes at 25 deg C by ISO 7390. Typical tack-free time is 7 to 24 minutes at 25 deg C and 50+/-5% RH. After one week under those conditions, cured elongation is at least 400%.
